Shana Fried, Founder & Principal

Shana received her Juris Doctor from New York Law School in 2007. She has 15+ years experience working within the entertainment industry, first as DJ and event producer, artist manager, film and music producer, and in the last decade as an entertainment attorney and owner of a handful of indie record labels. In 2010, Shana formed and operated Higgins + Fried LLP, an entertainment law firm, and from 2008-2010 was a partner at Martinez Law, a film and entertainment firm. Hailing from Northern California, Shana also has a degree in music business from Northeastern University and is well-versed in the NYC nightlife scene.

Shana is admitted in New York State, and the Southern and Eastern Districts.

Rita D. Turner, Managing Attorney

Rita D. Turner brings her prior experience in international relations, banking, and artistic endeavors in providing clients with creative solutions, whether it be a strong strategy in litigation or in developing strong protections for their businesses. Rita has extensive experience litigating complex contractual disputes, intellectual property infringement matters, and First Amendment Claims related to privacy and defamation. She also counsels clients on the prosecution, licensing, and protection of their intellectual property. Representative clients include national retail and fashion companies, television stations, musicians, and entrepreneurs.

Rita attended Rutgers School of Law – Newark where she was editor of the Law Review and member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team. Prior to her legal career, Rita was a professional choreographer and dancer in New York City and Tokyo after having studied ballet and modern at the University of South Florida and butoh under its founder Tatsumi Hijikata. She is a member of the New York City Bar Association’s Fashion Law Committee and is licensed to practice in New Jersey, New York, and the Southern District of New York.

Allen Kronenberger, Attorney

Allen Kronenberger is an attorney based in Los Angeles, California, and he provides legal services to music, film, and entertainment-based individuals and businesses.  Before joining The Fried Firm, he worked both in private practice and in-house as an entertainment attorney.  Allen graduated with a Juris Doctor and a Masters in Music Business and Entertainment Industries from the University of Miami School of Law in 2013. When not practicing law, Allen may be found drumming with one of his bands or having a beer at any on of LA’s vegan-friendly establishments.

Allen is licensed to practice law in California and Florida and is admitted to the Central District of California.

Jessica Feldman, Office Manager

As office manager, Jess serves as the communications hub for The Fried Firm. Jess received her M.F.A. in Writing from the University of New Hampshire and is a published poet. She has personal experience in both the music and literary fields.
